Livestock Specialist

The Livestock Specialist will be responsible for managing and overseeing the health and well-being of livestock in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This is an urgent position that requires someone with experience in the field and a biometric passport.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal husbandry and a deep understanding of livestock management techniques. They must also possess excellent communication skills, as they will be working closely with other livestock specialists, farmers, and veterinarians.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor the health and well-being of all livestock, including cows, goats, sheep, and camels.
- Implement and maintain strict biosecurity measures to prevent the spread of diseases.
- Develop and implement feeding plans to ensure the appropriate nutrition for all animals.
- Oversee breeding programs to ensure the production of healthy offspring.
- Train and supervise farm workers on proper handling and care of livestock.
- Conduct regular health checks on animals and administer necessary treatments or vaccinations.
- Keep detailed records of animal health, breeding, feeding, and production.
- Collaborate with veterinarians on disease prevention, treatment plans, and emergency care.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and innovations in animal husbandry techniques.

Requirements:

- Must be an Indian national preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in animal husbandry or livestock management.
- Experience working with a variety of livestock species is preferred but not required.
- Biometric passport is required due to urgent nature of the position.
- Strong communication skills in English are required.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for animal welfare and a deep understanding of livestock behavior.
