Job Title: Information Security Analyst
As an Information Security Analyst, you will be responsible for protecting the organization's data and information from potential cyber threats. This role is crucial in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in the organization's systems and networks.
- Develop, implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Monitor network traffic for any suspicious activity or unauthorized access attempts.
- Investigate security incidents and provide timely response and resolution to mitigate any damage or potential breaches.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber threats, technologies, and security trends to continuously improve the organization's security posture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify security requirements for new systems or projects.
- Conduct regular security awareness training sessions for employees to promote a culture of security.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in information security analysis or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption technologies, vulnerability assessment tools, etc.
- Familiarity with industry regulations such as ISO 27001/27002, NIST, PCI DSS.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns and trends in data.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus).
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification or other relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager).
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines.
- Knowledge of cloud computing security principles.
Location: This position is based in Umm-Salal, Qatar and is open to candidates of all nationalities. English fluency is a requirement for this role.
