Junior Librarian (English speaking)

We are seeking a Junior Librarian to join our team at a prestigious library in Abu Dhabi, UAE. As a Junior Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting with the organization and maintenance of library materials, providing customer service to library patrons and supporting the overall operations of the library. This is an excellent opportunity for an English-speaking individual with no previous experience to gain valuable skills and experience in the field of librarianship.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with cataloging, shelving, and organizing library materials
- Provide customer service to library patrons, including helping them locate materials and answering basic reference questions
- Assist with circulation tasks such as checking books in and out, issuing library cards, and collecting fines
- Support the development and implementation of library programs and events
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the library space

Requirements:
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
- Indian nationality preferred
- No previous experience required
- Must be currently residing in Abu Dhabi or willing to relocate at own expense
- Must have a valid student visa or be on a dependent visa
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
