Librarian (Pakistani/Malayalee) for Biometric Passport Library in Dubai
A leading Biometric Passport Library in Dubai is seeking highly motivated and experienced Librarians to join our team. As a Librarian, you will play a crucial role in managing and organizing our expansive collection of biometric passports. We welcome candidates from both Pakistani and Malayalee backgrounds to apply for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the Biometric Passport Library, including cataloging, shelving, and circulation of passports.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all passport records using advanced library systems.
- Assist patrons with locating and accessing biometric passports as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies to acquire new biometric passport collections.
- Train and supervise library staff in proper handling and management of biometric passports.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure the security of all passports.
Requirements:
- Must be fluent in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus).
- Prior experience working as a librarian or knowledge of library systems is preferred.
- Experience working with biometric passports is highly desirable.
- Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
- Must be able to work well independently as well as part of a team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Library Science or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a librarian or similar role.
- Familiarity with biometric technology and passport systems is strongly preferred.
