Part-Time English-Speaking Librarian in Al-Kuwait, Kuwait (Egyptian National Preferred)


Our library in Al-Kuwait is seeking a part-time Librarian who is fluent in English and has a passion for books and literature. We are specifically looking for an Egyptian national, but all English-speaking applicants are welcome to apply.

As a Librarian, you will be responsible for maintaining the library's collection, assisting patrons with finding materials, and providing excellent customer service. In this role, you will also have the opportunity to create and lead programs and events that promote literacy and educate readers of all ages.

This is a part-time position with flexible hours, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to supplement their income or seeking part-time work. As this position does not include accommodation, it would be best suited for someone who already resides in Al-Kuwait.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Fluent in English (Arabic language skills are a plus)
- Strong knowledge of literature and books
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passionate about promoting literacy and education

Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain the library's collection according to established standards
- Assist patrons with finding materials and provide recommendations based on their interests
- Create and lead programs and events that promote literacy and education
- Keep track of library inventory, place orders for new materials when needed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patron concerns or questions promptly
