Our library in Dubai is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Librarian to join our team. This position is open to both local candidates and foreigners, with a preference for Indian nationals.

As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the library, including cataloguing and organizing books, assisting patrons with research and information inquiries, and overseeing the maintenance of library equipment and facilities. You must possess excellent communication skills in English, as you will be required to interact with a diverse community of students and professionals.

To be successful in this role, you must have prior experience working as a librarian or in a similar role. A degree in Library Science or Information Science is preferred but not required. However, we do require all candidates to have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

This position does not come with accommodation, so we are seeking candidates who are already based in Dubai or are willing to relocate independently. However, we do offer visa sponsorship for eligible candidates.

Key Responsibilities:
- Organize books according to the Dewey Decimal System
- Create catalog records for new books
- Assist patrons with finding information or resources
- Monitor the condition of library materials and equipment
- Handle interlibrary loan requests
- Develop programs and activities to promote literacy and reading
- Train library staff on new technologies or systems
- Maintain accurate records of library usage statistics
- Keep up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in library science

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library or similar role
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with library management systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of the Dewey Decimal System and cataloguing standards
- Strong customer service skills
