Librarian (English Speaking) - Dubai, UAE


We are currently seeking experienced and highly motivated Librarians to join our team in Dubai, UAE. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our library's collection of books, magazines, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:
- Cataloging and organizing library materials using the Dewey Decimal system
- Ensuring all library materials are properly labeled and shelved in a timely manner
- Assisting library patrons with finding and checking out materials
- Providing reference services to patrons, including answering questions and helping with research projects
- Developing and implementing programs to promote literacy and reading among patrons of all ages
- Collaborating with teachers to integrate library resources into their lesson plans
- Maintaining accurate records of library transactions and statistics

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a librarian in a similar setting
- Strong knowledge of the Dewey Decimal system and cataloging standards
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Experience working with diverse populations, including non-native English speakers
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Own visa for employment in the UAE is preferred

This is a contract position with the potential for extension based on performance. The ideal candidate will be Pakistani or Egyptian but we welcome applicants from all nationalities who meet the requirements.
