Agricultural Technician - Abu Dhabi, UAE



We are seeking an experienced and skilled Agricultural Technician to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. As an Agricultural Technician, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our farm and ensuring the successful growth and harvesting of various crops.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the farm including planting, irrigation, fertilization, pest management, and harvesting
- Monitor crop health and make necessary adjustments to ensure maximum yield
- Operate and maintain farming equipment such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems
- Prepare land for planting and conduct soil analysis to determine proper fertilization methods
- Identify and treat plant diseases or pests as needed
- Oversee a team of farm workers and provide training when necessary
- Keep detailed records of crop yields, expenses, and other important data
- Develop strategies to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role on a farm or agricultural facility
- Strong knowledge of farming techniques, equipment operation, crop management, and pest control methods
- Ability to work long hours outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor tasks as needed

Preferred qualifications:
- Degree in Agriculture or related field
- Experience with organic farming methods
- Ability to speak multiple languages
- Experience working with diverse teams

This is a contract position with potential for extension based on performance. Accommodation will not be provided but we do offer competitive compensation packages. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.
