Agronomist

An Abu-Dhabi based agricultural company is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Agronomist to join our team. This position is open to candidates of Egyptian nationality who already hold a valid visa for the UAE.

As an Agronomist, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of crop production, from planning and planting to harvesting and distribution. Your primary goal will be to increase crop yields, improve quality, and optimize the use of resources such as land, water, and fertilizers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on different crops and their growing conditions in the UAE.
- Develop effective strategies for crop production, taking into consideration climate, soil conditions, and available resources.
- Oversee planting activities and ensure proper spacing, irrigation, and fertilization.
- Monitor crop growth and identify any potential issues or diseases.
- Implement pest control measures when necessary.
- Manage the use of pesticides and fertilizers according to local regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely harvesting and distribution of crops.
- Stay updated on new agricultural technologies and techniques to improve efficiency.
- Train and supervise farm workers on proper farming techniques.

Requirements:
- Egyptian nationality with a valid UAE visa.
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in agronomy or related field (fresh graduates with relevant internships will also be considered).
- In-depth knowledge of crop production techniques suitable for the UAE climate.
- Familiarity with local regulations regarding pesticide use.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in Arabic (English proficiency is preferred).
