Information Security Analyst


We are actively seeking an experienced Information Security Analyst to join our team in Umm-Salal, Qatar. As an Information Security Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our company's information and systems. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze security events and alerts from various sources such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in our systems
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Stay up-to-date on the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to proactively identify potential risks to our systems
- Investigate security incidents and provide recommendations for remediation
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and mitigate risks
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with established security policies

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an Information Security Analyst or similar role
- Strong understanding of information security principles and best practices
- Experience with vulnerability assessment tools such as Nessus or Qualys
- Familiarity with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), data loss prevention (DLP), antivirus/anti-malware tools, encryption technologies, etc.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 27001/27002, NIST Cybersecurity Framework or PCI DSS
- Certifications such as CISSP,CISM or SANS GIAC are a plus


Preferred qualifications:
- Fluency in English is required; fluency in Malayalam or Arabic is a plus
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Valid biometric passport for travel
- Experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred but not required
