Electrical Engineer - Power Systems Specialist
As an Electrical Engineer - Power Systems Specialist at our company in Lusail, Qatar, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems to meet the power needs of our clients. This role requires specialized knowledge in power systems and the ability to work on a variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems for various projects, including power generation, transmission, and distribution
- Perform calculations and analysis to determine power requirements and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Conduct site visits to assess existing power systems and make recommendations for improvements or upgrades
- Collaborate with other engineers and team members to develop comprehensive solutions for clients
- Create detailed technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Test and troubleshoot electrical systems to identify and resolve any issues
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in power system technology
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers or technicians
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with power systems
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, standards, and regulations
- Proficiency in using CAD software for technical drawings
- Experience with power system analysis tools such as ETAP or SKM PowerTools
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required
