Phlebotomist

We are hiring a skilled and experienced Phlebotomist to join our medical team in Al-Khor, Qatar. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for performing venipuncture and other blood collection procedures on patients of all ages. Your primary responsibilities will include collecting and labeling blood samples, maintaining accurate records of collected samples, and ensuring the proper disposal of contaminated materials.

Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and other blood collection procedures on patients of all ages
- Verify patient information and prepare them for blood collection
- Collect and label blood samples according to established protocols
- Maintain accurate records of collected samples, including patient information, test results, and any other relevant data
- Ensure the proper disposal of contaminated materials in accordance with safety protocols
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any patient concerns or questions related to blood collection procedures
- Monitor inventory levels of phlebotomy supplies and place orders as needed
- Adhere to all safety regulations and infection control protocols while handling blood specimens
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely delivery of test results

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education required; certification in phlebotomy preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience working as a Phlebotomist in a medical setting
- Excellent knowledge of venipuncture techniques and blood collection procedures
- Familiarity with different types of blood collection tubes and their specific requirements
- Proven track record of maintaining accurate records and following safety protocols when handling blood specimens
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to explain procedures to patients in a clear manner
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask efficiently
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends
