Accountant - Doha, Qatar


Our accounting firm in Doha, Qatar is currently seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing financial data, preparing financial statements and reports, and ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations. This is a contract position with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
- Prepare and present accurate financial statements and reports
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations
- Monitor cash flow and recommend strategies for improvement
- Collaborate with other departments to develop budgets and forecasts
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of financial records
- Assist with tax filings and other government reporting requirements
- Provide support during external audits
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement necessary changes

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- At least 3 years of experience as an Accountant in a corporate or public accounting setting
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks, SAP)
- Strong understanding of local laws and regulations related to accounting practices in Qatar
- Experience with biometric passport processes is preferred but not required
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and provide insights based on data analysis
