Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Livestock Specialist to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. As a Livestock Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our livestock and managing all aspects of their care. This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule, as the well-being of our animals is a top priority.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct regular health checks on all livestock to ensure they are in good condition
- Provide necessary medical treatments and vaccinations to prevent diseases
- Monitor feed and water intake to ensure proper nutrition for the animals
- Manage breeding programs and assist with births as needed
- Maintain clean and sanitary living conditions for the livestock
- Monitor behavior and identify any signs of distress or illness in the animals
- Operate machinery and equipment for feeding, watering, and cleaning of animal enclosures
- Keep accurate records of livestock health, breeding, and production data
- Coordinate with veterinarians for specialized care or treatments when necessary

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with livestock
- Experience with breeding programs and assisting with births
- Knowledge of animal behavior, nutrition, and health care best practices
- Ability to operate machinery and equipment used in caring for livestock
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records

Working Conditions:

This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions. The candidate must be comfortable working around large animals. This role may also require some weekend or evening work depending on the needs of the animals.
