Livestock Specialist - Abu-Dhabi, UAE



We are currently seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Livestock Specialist to join our team in Abu-Dhabi, UAE. As a Livestock Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the health and production of our livestock.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement strategies to ensure the health and well-being of our livestock
- Monitor and maintain appropriate feed, nutrition, and hygiene standards for all animals
- Identify and treat any health issues or diseases in a timely manner
- Manage breeding programs to ensure optimal genetics and production
- Oversee the transportation, handling, and slaughter of animals according to industry standards
- Maintain accurate records of all livestock activities, including births, deaths, vaccinations, etc.
- Train and supervise other staff members on proper handling and care of livestock
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and best practices related to livestock management

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience working with livestock in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of animal husbandry practices and techniques
- Experience with breeding programs, disease prevention/treatment, nutrition, etc.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Hindi or other Indian languages is a plus)
- Physically fit and able to handle various tasks associated with livestock management (lifting heavy objects, working outdoors in various weather conditions)
- Valid driver's license

Salary: $1000/month (negotiable based on experience)
