Speech Therapist for Multilingual Children in Al-Khor, Qatar
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Therapist to work with multilingual children in Al-Khor, Qatar. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for providing individualized speech and language therapy services to children from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech and language disorders in children
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on the individual needs of each child
- Provide therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and communication skills
- Teach parents and caregivers strategies for supporting their child's progress at home
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for each child
- Keep detailed records of therapy sessions and progress made by each child
- Stay up-to-date with research and techniques in the field of speech therapy
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
- Previous experience working as a Speech Therapist is preferred but not required
- Fluency in English is required, knowledge of other languages is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with children and their families from diverse backgrounds
- Patience, empathy, and creativity when working with children with communication disorders
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
