Reference Librarian

A reputable library in Al-Kuwait is seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Reference Librarian. As the Reference Librarian, you will be responsible for providing reference services to library patrons, as well as managing the library's collection of reference materials.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist library patrons in locating and accessing reference materials
- Provide guidance and instruction on how to effectively use library resources
- Develop and maintain the collection of reference materials, including print and electronic resources
- Stay updated on new and relevant information sources to ensure the collection is current
- Create user guides and tutorials for accessing online resources
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan and implement reference programs and services
- Train and supervise junior staff members in reference service procedures
- Assist with collection development by identifying gaps in the reference collection
- Conduct regular evaluations of reference services to ensure quality and efficiency

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a librarian, preferably in a reference role
- Proficiency in using various databases and online resources for research purposes
- Strong knowledge of cataloging systems and library classification schemes
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for managing the large collection of reference materials
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other librarians

This position offers a competitive salary of 1200$ per month, along with accommodation, free visa, and ticket.
