Hotel Maintenance Engineer

As a Hotel Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the hotel. Your primary goal will be to ensure the safety, functionality, and comfort of our guests by identifying and resolving any maintenance issues in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of all hotel systems and equipment to identify any potential maintenance issues
- Respond promptly to guest requests for maintenance assistance and address their concerns in a professional and courteous manner
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems as needed
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as changing filters, lubricating equipment, and checking for leaks
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities including repairs, replacements, and inspections
- Coordinate with outside contractors for major repairs or installations when necessary
- Monitor energy consumption and make recommendations for cost-saving measures
- Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment needed for maintenance tasks
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school education preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, as well as general building maintenance practices
- Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English; knowledge of Urdu or Malayalam is a plus
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks that require bending or standing for long periods of time
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver's license
