Livestock Specialist


Our livestock farm in Abu-Dhabi, UAE is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Livestock Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall management and care of our livestock, including but not limited to cattle, sheep, goats, and poultry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement breeding programs to improve the quality and productivity of our livestock
- Perform regular health checks and administer necessary vaccinations and medications
- Monitor feed intake and nutrition for optimal health and production
- Maintain accurate records of herd health, breeding, and production
- Oversee the daily care and feeding of all livestock
- Manage pasture rotations to ensure proper grazing and minimize environmental impact
- Identify any potential issues or concerns with herd health or production and take appropriate action
- Train and supervise farm staff on proper animal handling techniques and protocols
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to livestock management

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with livestock in a large-scale farming operation
- Strong knowledge of animal husbandry, nutrition, breeding techniques, and herd management
- Ability to work long hours outdoors in various weather conditions
- Physical stamina for handling large animals
- Proficient in record keeping
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with biometric passport preferred
