Housekeeping Manager

As a Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure a clean, comfortable and well-maintained environment for guests. This role requires excellent leadership and organizational skills, as well as strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a team of housekeeping staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Develop and implement cleaning procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the property
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, and place orders as needed
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas regularly to ensure they meet company standards
- Oversee laundry operations, including sorting, washing, drying, and folding linens
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure guest requests are fulfilled in a timely manner
- Handle guest complaints or concerns related to housekeeping services
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, provide training, and address any issues or concerns
- Prepare reports on department performance and budget for upper management

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in housekeeping management role at a hotel or resort
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and procedures for different types of surfaces and materials
- Proficient in using cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and cleaning chemicals safely
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed
- Fluent in English (additional language skills such as Hindi or Arabic preferred)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
