Livestock Specialist

As a Livestock Specialist, you will be responsible for the management and care of livestock on our farm in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Your main duties will include overseeing the health and well-being of the animals, developing and implementing breeding programs, and maintaining accurate records of the herd.

You will also be responsible for coordinating with other team members to ensure that all tasks related to livestock are completed in a timely and efficient manner. This may include feeding, cleaning, and maintaining the animal's living areas.

To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of animal husbandry techniques, as well as experience working with various types of livestock such as cattle, sheep, goats, and poultry. You should also have excellent communication skills to effectively work with other team members and communicate any issues or concerns to management.

This position is open to individuals from various nationalities including Pakistani and African candidates. Fluency in English is preferred but not required. We welcome candidates without prior experience in a similar role but who have a passion for working with animals and are willing to learn.

This is a full-time position with a salary of 1600$ per month. Accommodation is not provided; therefore we prefer candidates who are already based in Abu Dhabi or have their own housing arrangements. This is an excellent opportunity for freshers looking to gain hands-on experience in livestock management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the health and well-being of livestock on a daily basis
- Develop breeding programs to improve herd genetics and productivity
- Maintain accurate records of herd inventory, production levels, and health records
- Coordinate with team members to complete tasks such as feeding, cleaning, and maintaining living areas
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols when handling animals
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding any issues or concerns

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with livestock, preferably on a farm or ranch
- Strong understanding of animal husbandry techniques and best practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Physical ability to handle and move large animals as needed
