Livestock Specialist
A reputable livestock farm in Riyadh is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Livestock Specialist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Indian national with a passion for animal care and husbandry.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the livestock farm, ensuring the health and well-being of all animals
- Develop and implement effective breeding programs to improve the quality of our herds
- Monitor and maintain proper nutrition, hygiene, and housing for all livestock
- Identify signs of illness or injury in animals and provide appropriate treatment or medication
- Train and supervise farm workers on proper handling, feeding, and care techniques for different types of livestock
- Keep accurate records of animal health, breeding, sales, and other important data
- Collaborate with veterinarians to ensure compliance with all necessary health regulations
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in livestock care
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Livestock Specialist or similar role
- Knowledge of different breeds of cattle, sheep, goats, and poultry
- Understanding of breeding techniques and genetics related to livestock farming
- Ability to identify signs of illness or injury in animals and provide appropriate treatment
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train and supervise farm workers from diverse backgrounds
- Strong record keeping skills to maintain accurate data on animal health
- Physical stamina to handle manual labor involved in caring for livestock
- Indian nationality preferred
- Experience working on a farm in Saudi Arabia is a plus
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary package starting at 1800$ per month. This includes accommodation on our farm premises, free visa sponsorship, air ticket allowance once per year.
