Librarian Assistant


We are a reputable library in Reef Al Fujairah City, seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Librarian Assistant to join our team. As a Librarian Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Librarian in managing the daily operations of the library.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing library resources, including books, journals, and databases
- Help patrons with research inquiries and locating materials
- Monitor and organize the library’s collection
- Process new materials and prepare them for circulation
- Maintain accurate records of borrowed and returned items
- Assist with cataloging and classifying materials using appropriate systems
- Handle interlibrary loan requests from other institutions
- Provide support in planning and executing library programs and events
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies to enhance library services
- Ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for patrons

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field
- Experience working in a library or relevant setting is preferred
- Knowledge of library systems and cataloging methods
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Familiarity with information technology tools used in libraries

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary package of 1400$ per month for this full-time position.
