Librarian
We are hiring a Librarian to join our team in Dibba-El-Fujairah, UAE. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library collection, providing research assistance to patrons, and promoting library services and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize library materials, including books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, and digital resources
- Develop and implement library policies and procedures
- Assist patrons with research inquiries and provide guidance on how to access information
- Maintain accurate records of library transactions, such as loans and returns
- Promote library services through outreach programs, events, and social media
- Train staff on library systems and procedures
- Monitor budget and make recommendations for purchasing new materials
- Collaborate with other departments to develop programs and services that meet the needs of the community
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a library setting
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to interact with patrons of all ages and backgrounds
- Proficiency in using library management systems and online databases
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Fluency in English (knowledge of Malayalam is an advantage)
- Must have a valid biometric passport (Indian nationality preferred)
