We are currently hiring a Library Assistant to join our team in Abu Dhabi. As a Library Assistant, you will support the daily operations of our library and assist our patrons with their research and information needs. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about books and literature, have excellent organizational skills, and enjoy providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patrons with locating materials and provide guidance on library resources
- Check out and return books, magazines, and other materials
- Process new materials for circulation, including cataloging and shelving
- Maintain the organization of the library by shelving books in their proper order
- Answer reference questions and provide research assistance to patrons
- Keep accurate records of library transactions using a computerized system
- Plan and conduct library programs such as book clubs or storytime for children
- Create displays to promote new materials or themes within the library

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Experience working in a library setting is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of library systems and cataloging procedures is desirable
- Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Hindi would be an advantage
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Customer service-oriented with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Proficiency in using computerized systems for cataloging and record keeping
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
