Phlebotomist

We are currently hiring a skilled and experienced Phlebotomist to join our team in Al-Khor. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for drawing blood from patients for medical testing and transfusions. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to ensure patient comfort and safety during the procedure. Additionally, you will be responsible for accurately labeling and storing blood samples for laboratory testing. The ideal candidate will have a high level of attention to detail and be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Explain the procedure to patients and answer any questions they may have
- Prepare equipment, such as needles, tubes, and bandages
- Find suitable veins for blood draw and properly clean the area
- Draw blood from patients using proper techniques to ensure minimal discomfort
- Label and store blood samples correctly for laboratory testing
- Accurately record patient information and maintain confidentiality at all times
- Handle any issues or complications that may arise during the procedure
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in phlebotomy preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Phlebotomist in a medical setting
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate nature with excellent bedside manner
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if needed.
