Librarian (English Speaking) in Doha, Qatar

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Librarian to join our team at a prestigious international school in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate should be fluent in English and have experience working as a librarian in an educational setting. This position requires someone with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the school library and ensure it is well-maintained and organized
- Develop and implement library programs that promote reading, research, and information literacy skills
- Assist students in selecting appropriate resources for their projects and assignments
- Provide guidance to students on how to effectively use library resources and technology
- Collaborate with teachers to incorporate library resources into lesson plans
- Keep up-to-date with new books, databases, and other resources that can enhance the library collection
- Train and supervise library assistants or volunteers

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a librarian in an educational setting
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with students and staff from diverse backgrounds
- Familiarity with electronic databases, online cataloging systems, and other technology used in libraries
- Knowledge of Arabic is preferred but not required

Salary: 1200$ per month (tax-free)
