Librarian - Al-Rayyan, Qatar



We are currently hiring a qualified Librarian for our educational institution in Al-Rayyan, Qatar. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library resources, assisting students and faculty with research needs, and promoting a love for reading and learning within the school community.

Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain the school library collection, including books, magazines, and digital resources
- Assist students and faculty with research needs by providing guidance on effective search strategies
- Promote literacy by creating engaging displays and programs to encourage reading
- Collaborate with teachers to develop lesson plans that incorporate library resources
- Manage circulation of materials, including checking in/out books and collecting fines for late returns
- Stay updated on current trends in literature and educational technology to enhance library offerings
- Train students on how to use the library cataloging system
- Ensure a welcoming environment for all library users

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a librarian in an educational setting
- Knowledge of library management systems and online databases
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others
- Passion for promoting literacy and providing excellent customer service

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1500 per month. Additional benefits may include accommodation.
