Librarian vacancy in Al Ahmadi Kuwait

Librarian

We are a reputable library in Al Ahmadi seeking an experienced Indian Librarian to join our team. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our collection of books and other materials, assisting patrons with finding resources, and maintaining the library's catalog system. You will also play a key role in promoting library services and programs to the community.

Requirements:
- Must be an Indian national
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Librarian
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of cataloging systems and library software
- Proficiency in English (Arabic language skills are a plus)
- Must be able to work without accommodation

Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize the library's collection of books, magazines, audiovisual materials, etc.
- Assist patrons with finding resources and provide recommendations based on their needs
- Create and maintain the library's catalog system using appropriate software
- Develop and implement programs to promote library services to the community
- Collaborate with other staff members to plan and execute events and activities for patrons
- Keep track of library inventory and order new materials as needed
- Answer questions from patrons regarding library policies, procedures, or resources
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
