Crane Operator



Position: Crane Operator
Location: Bayan, Africa
Salary: $1100 per month

We are in search of a skilled and experienced Crane Operator to join our team in Bayan, Africa. As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of cranes on construction sites, industrial yards, and other work locations.

Responsibilities:
- Operate cranes to lift, move, position and place materials and equipment on construction sites or other work locations
- Conduct pre-operational checks on cranes before use to ensure they are in good working condition
- Set up the crane for lifting operations by assembling boom sections, attaching load chains or slings to hoist materials or equipment
- Operate the crane controls to move materials or equipment according to signals from the rigger or spotter
- Inspect and maintain the crane regularly, reporting any defects or malfunctions to the supervisor immediately
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies while operating the crane
- Keep accurate records of daily activities including materials lifted and hours worked
- Train and supervise new crane operators as needed

Requirements:
- Valid Crane Operator certification from a recognized institution
- At least 2 years of experience as a Crane Operator in a similar role
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required
- Excellent knowledge of crane operation techniques, rigging procedures and safety regulations
- Ability to interpret load charts and understand weight distribution when lifting heavy loads
- Good communication skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work at heights for prolonged periods
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends if required
