Assistant Merchandiser


As an Assistant Merchandiser, you will be responsible for supporting the merchandising team in all aspects of product development and management. This includes assisting with product selection, pricing, and placement, as well as monitoring inventory levels and sales performance. You will also play a key role in coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and maintaining strong relationships with them.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the retail industry, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail. Proficiency in English is required, along with experience working in a fast-paced environment. This is a contract position with visa sponsorship available for non-local candidates.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with product selection, pricing, and placement based on market trends and customer preferences
- Monitor inventory levels and sales performance to ensure timely restocking and minimize stockouts
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of products
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and sales data
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product development process
- Build strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and resolve any issues that may arise
- Conduct regular store visits to gather feedback on products and identify areas for improvement
- Assist in creating visual merchandising displays that attract customers' attention

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field
- 2+ years of experience working in merchandising or retail industry
- Strong understanding of market trends and customer preferences
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Willingness to travel for store visits or supplier meetings if needed
