Executive Chef - Indian Cuisine (Hawalli, Kuwait)



Our renowned restaurant in Hawalli, Kuwait is seeking an experienced Executive Chef specializing in Indian cuisine. This is a contract position with a competitive salary of $1200 per month. As an English-speaking establishment, fluency in English is required for effective communication with our multinational team. We are looking for a talented chef who can bring their creativity and expertise to our kitchen while maintaining the authenticity and quality of our traditional Indian dishes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the kitchen including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Create and update menu items based on seasonality and availability of ingredients
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure high-quality standards are met
- Control food costs by monitoring inventory and minimizing waste
- Adhere to strict health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Collaborate with management to develop new ideas for promotions and events

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef specializing in Indian cuisine
- In-depth knowledge of traditional Indian dishes, spices, techniques, and flavors
- Ability to create innovative dishes while maintaining the authenticity of Indian cuisine
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage kitchen staff
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Preferences:
- Experience working in a multicultural environment
- Knowledge of other cuisines besides Indian
- Familiarity with Halal food preparation
