Head Chef
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at a prestigious Indian restaurant in Sharjah. As the head of the kitchen, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and ensuring that our dishes are of the highest quality.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain menus that are reflective of Indian cuisine, incorporating local and seasonal ingredients
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients as needed
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Work closely with management to develop new menu items and specials
- Manage food cost, portion control, and waste reduction initiatives
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a chef, with a focus on Indian cuisine
- Formal culinary training or degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of Indian spices, flavors, and cooking techniques
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of other languages is a plus
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and adapt quickly to changing circumstances
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary package starting at 1700$ per month, based on experience and qualifications.
Location:
This position is located in Sharjah, UAE. While we welcome applicants from all nationalities, candidates from India are preferred.
