Sous Chef
A reputable restaurant in Sharjah is seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for cooking and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The role requires someone who is creative, organized, and can handle multiple tasks at once. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Chef to create and execute menus, supervise kitchen staff, ensure food quality and safety standards are met, and assist with inventory management.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan menus and daily specials
- Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and quality standards
- Train, supervise, and manage kitchen staff
- Ensure food quality by monitoring portion control, plating techniques, and ingredients
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards
- Assist with ordering and inventory management
- Monitor food stock levels and rotate products to minimize waste
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Create new menu items based on seasonal availability of ingredients
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate them into menu planning
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred
- Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant setting
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques including but not limited to grilling, roasting, baking, etc.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Attention to detail

Salary: $1000 per month
Location: Sharjah (open to all nationalities)
