Malayalee Chef at a Traditional Indian Restaurant in Sharjah
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Malayalee Chef to join our team at a traditional Indian restaurant in Sharjah. As a chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and authentic Malayalee dishes, ensuring high quality and consistency in all of our menu items.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook traditional Malayalee dishes such as appam, puttu, sambar, and avial
- Create new and innovative dishes while staying true to traditional flavors and techniques
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to restaurant standards
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking methods and techniques
- Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients to maintain freshness and minimize waste
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Follow food safety standards at all times
Requirements:
- Must be a Malayalee with knowledge of traditional Kerala cuisine
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a chef specializing in Malayalee cuisine
- Ability to create new dishes while maintaining authenticity
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Salary: AED 1200 per month
