Head Pastry Chef

As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pastry department in our luxury hotel in Doha. You will use your expert baking and decorating skills to create delicious and visually appealing desserts for our guests. In addition to managing a team of pastry chefs, you will also be responsible for ordering supplies, maintaining inventory, and ensuring food safety regulations are met. Your creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure will be key in this role. We are looking for someone who is passionate about pastry and has experience working in a high-end hotel or restaurant. Salary is $1200 per month.

Requirements:
- Nationality preference: Pakistani or African
- Fluent in English
- 5+ years experience as a pastry chef
- Experience working in a luxury hotel or restaurant
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to lead and manage a team
- Strong organizational skills
- Creativity and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the pastry department including ordering supplies, maintaining inventory, and creating new menu items.
- Train, mentor, and supervise a team of pastry chefs.
- Create delicious and visually appealing desserts using your expert baking and decorating skills.
- Ensure all food safety regulations are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with other departments such as the kitchen and event planning teams.
- Stay updated on current trends in the pastry industry.
- Develop new recipes and adapt existing ones as needed.
- Manage budgets and control costs within the department.
