Accountant vacancy in Salalah Oman

Senior Accountant

Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Salalah. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Conduct month-end and year-end close processes
- Monitor budget variances and provide recommendations for improvement
- Develop financial forecasts and budgets
- Perform financial analysis to support business decision making
- Review and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations
- Oversee payroll process and related tax filings
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior accounting staff

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA certification preferred but not required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accountant or in a similar role
- Experience with biometric passport is a plus
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, laws, and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software programs (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills

Salary: $1100 per month (negotiable based on experience)
