Job Title: Head Pastry Chef



We are in search of a talented and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team at a luxury hotel in Salalah, Oman. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pastry department, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation. You will work closely with the Executive Chef to create and execute high-quality pastry dishes that meet the standards of our discerning guests.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and design creative and delicious pastry menus for various outlets within the hotel
- Ensure high quality and consistency in all pastry offerings
- Train and supervise a team of pastry chefs to maintain high levels of productivity and quality
- Monitor food costs and minimize waste while maintaining top-notch quality
- Order ingredients and supplies as needed, ensuring proper inventory management
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with other departments such as banquet, restaurant, and room service to ensure smooth operations
- Continuously research new trends, techniques, and ingredients to keep up with industry standards

Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role at a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment
- Proven experience in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with other departments
- Creative flair with a passion for innovation in pastry making
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred
