Contract Executive Chef
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Khasab on a contract basis. As the Contract Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our high-end restaurant. You will collaborate with the management team to create innovative menus that showcase local and international flavors, while maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute creative menu ideas that cater to diverse tastes and dietary restrictions
- Ensure consistency in food quality, portioning, and presentation throughout all dishes
- Manage inventory levels and food costs while maintaining profitability
- Hire, train, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and adherence to safety standards
- Monitor sanitation practices to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with front of house staff to provide exceptional dining experiences for guests
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
- Solid understanding of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other departments
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the food industry
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or certification from an accredited institution
- Experience working in the Middle East or familiarity with Middle Eastern cuisine
- Fluent in Arabic language is a plus
Salary: 1500$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
