Librarian vacancy in Khasab Oman

Part-time Librarian


Khasab University is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic part-time Librarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for books and knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. This position is perfect for students looking to gain experience in the field of library science while earning extra income.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the organization and maintenance of library collections
- Catalogue new materials and update existing records
- Assist patrons with locating and checking out materials
- Provide reference services to students and staff
- Assist with library events, such as book clubs or author visits
- Keep track of circulation statistics and report findings to supervisor

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (currently enrolled students may also be considered)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with library systems and cataloguing standards
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

We offer a competitive salary of 1000$ per month, as well as free visa sponsorship and round-trip ticket expenses for non-Omani nationals. This is a part-time position with flexible working hours that can accommodate a student's schedule. Accommodation is not provided.
