Librarian - Khasab, Oman


We are in search of an experienced Librarian to join our team in Khasab, Oman. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection and providing research assistance to patrons. Your main goal will be to promote a love for reading and learning within the community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain the library's collection of books, periodicals, and other materials
- Develop and implement library policies and procedures
- Assist patrons with finding and utilizing resources for research purposes
- Provide guidance on information literacy and research skills
- Plan and facilitate library programs and events for all ages
- Collaborate with teachers to support the school curriculum
- Manage the library budget and make purchases for new materials
- Supervise library staff and volunteers

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience working in a library setting
- Knowledge of library cataloging systems and computer applications
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to work with a diverse community
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Fluent in English, knowledge of Arabic is preferred but not required

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1300$ per month.
