Sous Chef
We are in search of a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Bayan. As the Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to oversee all aspects of kitchen operations and ensure the delivery of exceptional food quality and service. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role, possess strong leadership skills, and be able to work well under pressure. This role offers a salary of $1100 per month and is open to Indian or Malayalee candidates who are fluent in English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food costing
- Train, supervise, and develop kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Ensure proper inventory control, stock rotation, and storage procedures are followed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace while adhering to all health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless execution of service
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred
- Strong knowledge of food handling techniques, equipment operation, recipes, and sanitation standards
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop kitchen staff
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
