Contract Librarian in Al Buraymi


We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Contract Librarian to join our team in Al Buraymi. As a Contract Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library collections, providing reference and research assistance to library patrons, and promoting the library's resources and services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain the library's collection of books, journals, electronic resources, and other materials
- Assist patrons with locating and accessing resources for research or leisure reading
- Develop and implement strategies to promote the library's resources and services to the community
- Plan and conduct library programs and workshops for all age groups
- Train library staff on new technologies and resources
- Collaborate with other departments to support their information needs
- Manage budget allocation for collection development and programming
- Ensure compliance with copyright laws and licensing agreements

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a librarian in an academic or public library setting
- Strong knowledge of cataloging systems, database management, and electronic resources
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic (preferred)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a diverse team
- Experience in developing promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, or social media posts is an asset

Working Conditions:
This is a contract position with a salary of 1500$ per month. The contract includes free visa sponsorship and round-trip ticket expenses. The working hours are 40 hours per week, Sunday through Thursday. Accommodation options can be discussed during the interview process.
