Pastry Chef
A luxury boutique hotel in Manama is seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a wide variety of desserts, pastries, and breads for our restaurant and banquet events. You will work closely with the Executive Chef to develop seasonal menus and ensure that all pastry offerings are of the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare a variety of desserts, pastries, and breads according to established recipes and standards
- Develop new menu items based on seasonality and local ingredients
- Oversee the daily operations of the pastry department including ordering supplies, managing inventory, and maintaining equipment
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs to ensure quality standards are met
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create cohesive menus for restaurant service, banquets, and special events
- Ensure compliance with health codes and food safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen setting
- Knowledge of current trends in pastry arts and techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Creativity and attention to detail in recipe development and presentation
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
