Speech Therapist
As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating individuals with various communication and swallowing disorders. This includes evaluating speech, language, and cognitive-communication abilities, as well as developing treatment plans and providing therapy to improve these skills. Additionally, you will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for your patients. This role requires excellent communication skills, patience, and a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology related to speech production and swallowing. Previous experience is not required, but you must have a degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field. Fluency in English is preferred. This is a full-time position offering a salary of 1600$ per month. The location for this job is Al-Khor, Qatar.
As a qualified Speech Therapist at our clinic in Al-Khor, you will have the opportunity to work with diverse patient populations and make a meaningful impact on their lives through your expertise in speech therapy. You will use evidence-based techniques and modalities to help patients improve their communication skills and overcome swallowing difficulties. This role requires strong analytical skills to assess patients' needs accurately and develop individualized treatment plans based on their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments of speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on evaluation results
- Provide individual or group therapy sessions using various techniques such as articulation therapy, language intervention, oral-motor exercises
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Educate patients and their families on ways to manage communication disorders at home
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients
- Keep accurate records of patient's progress and maintain confidentiality
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech production and swallowing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in English (Arabic language skills are a plus)
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude towards patients
