Executive Chef


As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the food production and kitchen operations in our hotel in Nizwa. You will work closely with the restaurant manager to create and maintain a high-quality dining experience for our guests. This is a contract job that offers a salary of 1800$, as well as accommodation.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop menus, ensuring variety and quality of dishes
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and other employees
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards
- Manage inventory levels and control food costs
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with the restaurant manager to create specials and promotions
- Oversee the purchasing of food supplies and equipment
- Develop new recipes and dishes to keep the menu fresh and interesting

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with staff, management, and guests
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail in food preparation, presentation, and portion control
- Creativity in developing new dishes while also maintaining traditional favorites
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Experience working in a hotel or fine dining establishment preferred
- Knowledge of Arabic cuisine is a plus
