Reference Librarian

The Reference Librarian will be responsible for providing research assistance and reference services to library patrons. This individual will work closely with the library staff to develop and maintain a collection of resources that meet the needs of the community. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of library science, excellent communication skills, and experience working with diverse populations. This is a full-time position in Bayan, with a salary of 1300$. Applicants of Indian nationality are preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Assist patrons with research inquiries and provide guidance on finding relevant resources
- Maintain and organize the reference collection, including electronic databases and physical materials
- Develop user guides and instructional materials to assist patrons in utilizing library resources effectively
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan and implement informational programs for the community
- Stay updated on current trends in library science and incorporate new technologies into reference services
- Help develop policies and procedures for reference services

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Library Science or related field
- Strong knowledge of reference resources, including electronic databases and search techniques
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience working with diverse populations, preferably in a library setting
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Indian languages is preferred but not required
