Pastry Chef at a Luxury Resort in Khasab, Oman


We are seeking a talented and creative Pastry Chef to join our team at a luxurious resort in Khasab, Oman. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing desserts and pastries for our guests. You must have excellent baking skills and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods according to menu specifications
- Develop new dessert recipes while also maintaining traditional favorites
- Ensure all pastry items are made with high-quality ingredients and presented beautifully
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pastry kitchen, including ordering supplies, managing inventory, and scheduling staff
- Train and mentor junior pastry chefs in proper techniques and procedures
- Adhere to food safety standards and maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
- In-depth knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and flavor combinations
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train others
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field preferred but not required
- Certification in Food Safety/HACCP is an asset
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1500$ per month plus benefits including accommodation, transportation, meals on duty, medical insurance, and annual leave.
