Instrument Technician (Nizwa, Oman)



The Instrument Technician will be responsible for performing installation, maintenance, and repair of various instruments and control systems in Nizwa, Oman. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles, as well as knowledge of different types of instruments and control systems. This is a full-time position with accommodation provided and a competitive salary of $900 per month.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation equipment such as flow meters, pressure gauges, temperature sensors, and control valves.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with instruments and control systems to ensure proper functioning.
- Perform regular maintenance on instruments to prevent breakdowns and ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate with other technicians and engineers to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, including equipment maintenance schedules and repair logs.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed while working on live equipment.

Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent. Technical diploma or certification in instrumentation is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as an Instrument Technician in an industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles and ability to read schematics.
- Knowledge of various types of instruments such as pressure gauges, flow meters, level sensors, etc.
- Familiarity with different types of control systems (DCS/PLC) is an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills in English. Arabic language skills are a plus.
