Reference Librarian

As a Reference Librarian, you will be responsible for providing assistance to library patrons in locating and accessing information resources. This includes answering reference questions, conducting research, and recommending materials for specific needs. You will also be responsible for managing and organizing the library's reference collection, ensuring that all materials are easily accessible and up-to-date.

In this role, you will work closely with other library staff to plan and implement reference services that meet the needs of the community. This may include developing instructional materials and programs to help patrons improve their research skills. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of reference transactions, as well as tracking usage statistics to inform future service improvements.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a Master's degree in Library Science or a related field, as well as previous experience working in a library setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be interacting with a diverse range of patrons on a daily basis. Additionally, proficiency in information retrieval systems and databases is required.

This is a full-time position with a salary of $1500 per month. Please note that accommodation is not provided for this role. Applicants must have a valid biometric passport and be authorized to work in Al Buraymi.
